A good story to share. It also demonstrates that kissing and flirting, even falling alseep (or passing out) beside someone, doesn’t equal consent for anything more.
This needs to be said over and over. If you punch someone when you’re drunk, you’re a thug who happens to be drunk. If you rape someone when you’re drunk, you’re a rapist who happens to be drunk. The drink might give you the courage, or disinhibit you, but you’re still yourself and still responsible for your actions.
Yes! Rape is about rape. Rape isn’t about hemlines, alcohol, or flirting. Thank you for sharing this.
